The Porsche 911 992 Dakar uses the same powertrain as the 911 992 GTS equipped with the Rallye Design Package. The Rallye Design Package is a visual reproduction of the Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2 4x4 (953) which won the 1984 Paris-Dakar Rally. The specific colour of the 953 has been taken up and interpreted on the outside by a combination of two-tone paint and a set of decals, in tribute to the rally's history. The kit includes the following items:

Exterior :- Two-tone paintwork in White and Gentian Blue Metallic- Decals in Gold and Red- Rally stripes on the centre of the bonnet and roof- Rally sport graphics on the doors (starting number box, letters "Roughroads" and "PORSCHE")- Dakar 19/20 inch wheels and wheel trims painted white with coloured Porsche badge- Upper part of rear spoiler in CFRP painted White- Red rear lights.
