The 15″ steel wheels are mounted with 215/70 BFGoodrich Touring T/A tires. The C2 was the first Corvette to offer fully independent suspension, with upper and lower control arms at the front and a three-link setup with a transverse leaf spring at the rear. Braking is handled by four-wheel discs. The suspension was overhauled in 2001, with work consisting of installing KYB shocks and replacing the front-end bushings, U-joints, and lower ball joints.
