The 15″ wheels feature Shelby five-spoke covers and are mounted with Goodyear white-letter tires. GT500s were equipped with an upgraded suspension system with heavy-duty coil springs and an anti-roll bar up front in addition to heavy-duty leaf springs out back. The car is equipped with power steering, and stopping is provided by power-assisted front discs and rear drums. The rear lower shock bushings were replaced by the selling dealer.
