Work performed during the Apex Specialty Vehicles build included refurbishment of the body framework and replacement of the outer skin, with modifications reportedly made to accommodate added weight. The upper deck was rebuilt to incorporate automated slide-outs that increase the width of the upper deck to approximately 12’ as well as a replacement roof panel with an automated lift mechanism and batwing awnings. The slide-outs and roof can reportedly be controlled via an iPad or onboard switch panel.
