Factory 17″ Evo 2 wheels are mounted with 245/45 Pirelli Cinturato P7 tires. A matching spare wheel is stored in the trunk. The E500 featured a wider track and a lower stance compared to other W124 models, while the front disc brakes were shared with the contemporary R129 SL600.
