The body was stripped of an older repaint in white during the restoration performed between 2018 and 2020, and the battery box was replaced during repairs to various areas of metal damage before a repaint in the original shade of erdbeerrot. The single-piece bent windshield and other glass panels were replaced, and the Gläser top frame was refurbished and fitted with a Haartz wool top with a glass rear window. Features include body-color bumpers with chromed steel overriders, rectangular taillights above round indicators, a shine-down license-plate lamp, and a Gläser badge on the right-front fender.
