Wheels wearing paint-matched Ace covers are fitted at each corner, and a covered spare is mounted on the right-front fender. The Phantom III was equipped from the factory with coil spring-based independent front suspension, semi-elliptical leaf springs at the rear, and a one-shot chassis-lubrication system actuated by a lever in the cabin. Braking is provided by four-wheel servo-assisted mechanical drums.
