This example was rebuilt by Mac McClendon approximately eight years ago with a replacement chassis structure fabricated using 2024-T3 aluminum in place of fatigued T72 sheet metal. According to correspondence from McClendon, the steel bulkheads and other fitments were reused, and the chassis tags were transferred to the new monocoque. The fiberglass body is finished in yellow and features front and rear clamshells, faired-in headlights, front flicks, adjustable rear spoilers, fender-mounted side mirrors, and an electrical cutoff switch. Photos of tags bearing “Bodywork by Specialize Mouldings LTD. England” can be seen in the gallery, along with various chips and other imperfections in the finish.
