The 15″ steel wheels wear Pontiac-branded covers and are mounted with Roadhandler white stripe tires. Braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums. The Grand Am came standard with a Radial Tuned Suspension which included Pliacell shock absorbers as well as front and rear sway bars.
