The replacement 28×12.4″ Firestone rear tires were mounted on new steel rims that were painted cadmium silver with gray centers during the refurbishment. The 16×5.5″ American Farmer front tires were installed along with replacement tubes at the same time. New wheel bearings and rear wheel seals were fitted along with replacement front wheel spindles and bushings. Braking is handled by rear drums, and the brake shoes were replaced during the refurbishment.
