The 17″ Evo wheels were included from the factory and are wrapped in Bridgestone Potenza S001 245/45 tires. A matching spare wheel is fitted under the trunk floor. The E500 featured a wider track and a lower stance compared to other W124 models, while the front disc brakes were shared with the contemporary R129 SL600.
