A pump motor with a polished pressure vessel is mounted forward of the radiator and was rated at 1,000 gallons per minute in period. Two-piece steel wheels are said to have replaced earlier wood versions 50 chassis earlier, and wear 9.00-20 BFGoodrich Silvertown bias-ply tires with cracked piecrust sidewalls here. The truck is also equipped with rear drum brakes in addition to a transmission emergency brake.
