Body-colored knock-off wire wheels wear period-style Dunlop Racing 6.00L-16 bias-ply tires. Matching spares are mounted on either side of the body. The hydraulic brake system utilizes Alfin-style drums, which are mounted inboard at the rear. The J2 featured a front swing axle, a de Dion tube rear axle, and coil springs at all four corners.
