The exterior was repainted in white in the 1970s, and the decision was made during the early 2000s restoration to return the car to a dark blue. London-based Renaissance Classic Car Co. replaced some of the rear panels and reskinned the doors, bonnet, and bootlid. The body was then finished in the present hue by Jules Bodycraft, also of London. A fine 3″-long scratch is shown at the top of the driver-side fender, as is a touchup alongside the driver-side wiper arm, and chips and marks from use. A spot of paint shrinkage, which the seller notes is about the size of a dime and only visible under certain conditions, is present on the trailing edge of the passenger-side door.
