Brushed aluminum 17″ wheels are fitted with BFGoodrich Comp T/A tires sized 255/50 all around, and a full-size steel spare is housed in the trunk. The Impala SS rode an inch lower than the stock Caprice and shared a suspension setup with the contemporary 9C1 police version. Four-wheel disc brakes feature 12″ vented rotors and ABS.
