The chassis features a Super Bell dropped front axle with a split wishbone and a Hot Rod Works rear axle conversion, along with drum brakes all around and Pro Shocks SM-Series chrome shock absorbers at the rear. Ford 16″ steel wheels are color-keyed to the body and fitted with early Mercury-branded chrome hubcaps, trim rings, and Coker Classic tires mounted by the previous owner.  The factory steering assembly is said to have been rebuilt.
