This replica’s hull, turret, and track supports were fabricated using steel plates ranging from 3/8” to 3/4″ thick. Measurements for the build were taken from a Renault FT displayed at the Museum of the American G.I. in College Station, Texas. Panels are joined to brackets by SAE carriage bolts and hex nuts, and the seams are welded. The vehicle is finished in black with white numerals and graphics, and it measures approximately 67″ wide, 7.5’ tall, and 16’ long with the tail section in place. Total weight is estimated at 10,000 pounds. The removable tail section is secured with steel pins, and tow hooks have been added at the front and back of the hull.
