Construction of the 959 was carried out at Karosserie Baur in Stuttgart, Germany, and incorporated a steel shell with fiberglass-reinforced Kevlar body panels, Nomex floors, a polyurethane nose section, and an aluminum front trunk lid and doors. Styling was designed to eliminate aerodynamic lift while minimizing drag and includes flared fenders, covered headlights, an integrated rear wing, and intake vents on each flank. This example is finished in Silver Metallic (L980) and is said to have received paintwork on its doors under previous ownership, reportedly to address creasing in the metal due to the side-mirror mounting design. The paint protective film was replaced in late 2024 with the application of a body-color film combined with an additional clear film.
