The 15” steel wheels wear chrome VW-stamped hubcaps and are mounted with Douglas Touring A/S tires measuring 195/65 up front and 205/65 out back. A full-size spare with a Firestone tire is housed in the rear cargo area. An independent rear suspension conversion has been performed. Stopping power is provided by front disc and rear drum brakes.
