P/1009A ran nine races in 1969 while wearing gray and maroon livery, including third-, sixth-, and fourth-place finishes at the Cape Town 3 Hours, Lourenco Marques 3 Hours, and Bulawayo 3 Hours, respectively. It was never raced again and changed hands several times before being restored to P/1009’s 1965 race configuration in 2011.
