The 15″ steel wheels wear faux-knock-off covers and are mounted with F78-15 Goodyear tires. The C2 was the first Corvette to offer fully independent suspension, with upper and lower control arms at the front and a three-link setup with a transverse leaf spring at the rear. The shocks were replaced in 2018, and a Borgeson power steering conversion kit was installed in 2022. Braking is handled by four-wheel discs, and the front pads and the right front caliper were replaced in 2021.
