Ferguson built the balanced 294ci stroker V8 for this car utilizing a four-bolt main aluminum block, a 4.250″-stroke billet steel crankshaft and camshaft, 4340 steel H-beam connecting rods, 8:1 compression-ratio Ross forged pistons, gapless rings, 3.300″ sleeves, a 409-style aluminum water pump, and a custom-fabricated finned oil pan. The Hilborn four-port fuel injection system is managed by a Carabine ECU and mounted to a polished BDS 6-71 supercharger with Air-Loc rotors and 8mm pulleys. Ignition is from a Vertex electronic magneto. The coated headers were fabricated by Delaware Chassis Works, and they are linked to black ceramic-coated exhaust pipes with stainless-steel finishers. A beehive remote oil filter housing has been installed, and the radiator is cooled by an electric puller fan.
