The 15″ steel wheels wear polished trim rings and chrome VW-stamped hubcaps and are mounted with 165-series BFGoodrich Silvertown Radial thin-whitewall tires. Stopping power is provided by drum brakes at each corner. The brake master cylinder, shoes, and lines are said to have been replaced under current ownership, and additional work reportedly involved replacing the axle boots and the front wheel inner and outer bearings.
