Dark blue 15″  steel wheels wear chrome hubcaps and are mounted with an older set of BFGoodrich whitewall radial tires that have developed air leaks. A matching spare wheel is stowed in the trunk. The Hornet rode on a 124″ wheelbase and features a step-down chassis with a coil-sprung independent front setup and a live rear axle with leaf springs. The car is equipped with four-wheel drum brakes.
