Measuring approximately 1” taller and 4” longer than the original 917K model, the Bailey 917’s bodywork comprises eight fiberglass panels, which on this example wear a pale blue and orange Gulf livery that is said to have been re-wrapped within the last six months. Features include forward-hinged doors, hinged Gurney flaps on each side of the tail panel, NACA ducts on the nose and rear flanks, a shatterproof glass wraparound windshield, polycarbonate side windows with hinged vents, faired headlights, and dual fender-mounted side mirrors.
