2006 Cadillac XLR. A supercharged, luxury sportscar that does 0-60 in the mid 4 seconds. The V after the XLR designates an elevated performance package. EXTERIOR: Has chiseled lines, aggressive front end and a bulge on the hood for the supercharger. A feature I really love is the retractable hardtop. 1 button takes you from a quiet coupe to an exhilarating roadster. The V comes with 19 inch wheels. The body still looks pristine. Original paint that looks like a mirror. Upfront the chrome wire mesh grill is excellent. Has the projector beam headlights and fog lights, all the lenses are crystal clear. Windshield is crystal clear. Door openers are electric. Door jambs are excellent, the weather strips are still excellent. INTERIOR: Very nice luxury appointments while still having a sporty feel. It has all the power accessorie, push button start, touch screen stereo system, Bose speakers, dual zone climate controls, power tilt and memory controls. Sport seats trimmed in leather have many different settings. Overall excellent condition. ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The V supercharged version is not just a blower plunked on top. It is a reengineered masterpiece. Has internal inner cooler, h.d. pistons and rods, twin cam, 32 valves and more. It is running like new. The compartment looks just like it did when it rolled out of the factory. TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Also very cool, it completely lifts open with a button. Has limited storage space when the top is down. With the top up you have significantly more room. There is a cargo net divider. UNDERSIDE: Suspension upgrades include larger sway bar, an added sway bar in back, Magnetic Ride Control is firmer, the Stabilitrak has four positions of firmness and higher performance thresholds. Brakes are also upgraded with 13.4 inch front and 13 inch rear cross drilled rotors. Like the Corvette it has a transaxle with a programmable 6 speed automatic. The stainless dual exhaust has a growl when the throttle is opened up. Considered a light car, I see a lot of aluminum components. The bottom of this car is still very clean.
