Powered by a 5.0 Coyote engine from 2011 Roush Stage 2 Mustang and Automatic overdrive transmission, power steering, dual exhaust, 4-wheel power disc brakes. The entire Mustang platform and complete running gear was retained, the platform was lengthened nine inches to match the Comet wheelbase.
