This 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle SS has the coveted '13817....' VIN that designates it as a factory SS396. This one is the real deal and it is a beautiful example of the Gen1 SS396, coveted by collectors and drivers alike. Exterior fit and finish are very nice and correct GM Rally wheels with BFG Radial T/A tires set the stance. The factory radio is in the dash, but there is also a custom JVC/CD sound system to play your tunes. This Chevelle is equipped with power steering and power assisted drum brakes w/dual master cylinder. Horsepower comes from a correct, but not matching numbers, SS396 motor that has been carefully built. It is fitted with aluminum heads, dual-plane aluminum intake and Holley double-pumper. The big 'rat' sounds very strong. Cooling is managed by a heavy-duty aluminum radiator and it is backed by a 4-speed manual transmission that shifts smoothly.
