This GTO is powered by a 1974 Pontiac 455 CI engine bored 30 over. The build includes Eagle connecting rods, Hypo tech pistons, Arp fasteners and ported and polished 6x heads with a three angle valve job. A new Holley 770 Avenger Carburetor sits on a polished Edelbrock RPM aluminum high rise manifold with extra aluminum removed. The cam is a high lift hi duration Competition Cam with 6.5 Roller Rockers. The 455 CI Pontiac motor is cooled by an aluminum radiator, a custom aluminum shroud and an electric fan. Lubrication is handled by a 7 quart oil pan and dual remote oil filters. Total oil capacity is 9 quarts. The transmission is a Tremec 650 HP 5 speed with a Hurst shifter. The clutch disc, pressure plate, throw out bearing and the flywheel are all new.
